Li Cheng, FSA, CFA, FRM, MAAA, is Chief Financial Officer for PGIM Multi-Asset Solutions, which leverages PGIM’s public and private markets expertise for the purpose of developing and implementing sophisticated asset-liability management and asset allocation strategies for insurance clients and other institutional investors.
Before assuming her current role, Ms. Cheng served as a Vice President in Treasury. She led the Stakeholder Management Function which focused upon Prudential Financial, Inc. (PFI) strategic relationships and advocated Prudential’s views with key external stakeholders, including rating agencies and supervisors. She also led and coordinated company-wide perspectives on regulatory standards, group supervision requirements, capital needs and liquidity.
Prior to joining PFI, Ms. Cheng served as a Senior Director and Lead Analyst at Standard and Poor’s. Ms. Cheng oversaw S&P’s global insurance Enterprise Risk Management practice, led an analytical team dedicated to global insurance companies, and was instrumental in spearheading the development of rating criteria. Ms. Cheng started her career with New York Life where she served in a variety of areas including M&A, investment, actuarial and risk management.
Ms. Cheng is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) and a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries (MAAA). She holds the Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA) and Financial Risk Manager® (FRM) designations. She earned an MBA from New York University, a master of arts in economics from the University of Chicago, and a bachelor of arts from Fudan University.
