Louis DiFranco is the Head of Insurance Solutions, North America, at PGIM Multi-Asset Solutions. His remit includes growing PGIM’s business with insurance companies through creative, client-centric approaches, including multi-asset class investment solutions and the development of Strategic Partnerships.
Mr. DiFranco joined Prudential in 2021 as the inaugural Head of Insurance Solutions at PGIM Fixed Income, providing leadership for the Firm’s efforts with the insurance industry globally. In that role, he reported directly to the Firm’s Co-CIO and was a member of the Investments Team.
He is the founder of Client-Centric Solutions, LLC, a consultancy which advises financial services firms and their potential business partners on a variety of strategic matters. In this capacity, he served as a Strategic Advisor to LTX, a Broadridge company, and as a Senior Advisor to Clearwater Analytics.
For the prior ten years, he led insurance asset management businesses at AllianceBernstein and Western Asset Management.
Previously, Louis spent 12 years at BNY Mellon as an Executive Vice President and the Operating Committee member with overall responsibility for the formulation and execution of the company’s strategy with the insurance and investment management client segments which generated $2.2 billion in annual revenue globally. He was a primary architect of the company’s client management paradigm, helping to transition the bank from product-driven to client-centric.
Before joining BNY Mellon, Mr. DiFranco was an insurance banker at Bank One where he deployed the bank’s asset securitization expertise to deliver balance sheet solutions to insurance companies.
He previously spent six years at J.P. Morgan, where he was the senior risk officer and lead credit analyst covering the insurance and broker dealer industries globally.
Mr. DiFranco began his career at Deloitte & Touche. He received a BA in Psychology from Princeton University and an MBA in Finance from New York University. Mr. DiFranco also received formal credit training at J.P. Morgan and attended Harvard Business School’s Executive Education program “Building and Leading Customer-Centric Organizations,” as well as Wharton's Executive Development Program.
