David Hunt is chairman of PGIM, a leading global asset manager across public and private asset classes with assets under management of $1.38 trillion.* Before becoming chairman, Mr. Hunt was the president and CEO of PGIM for 13 years where he oversaw all aspects of the asset management businesses, including its public fixed income, real estate, public equity, private fixed income, and mutual fund units.
Before joining PGIM, Mr. Hunt was a senior partner at McKinsey & Company and co-leader of its North American Asset Management practice. Mr. Hunt was at McKinsey for 22 years and served as a key advisor to leading financial executives worldwide particularly in banking, asset management and private equity. For five years, he was based in Europe and worked extensively in Asia.
Mr. Hunt has served on a wide variety of nonprofit boards. He was on the board of Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts for 21 years and spent nearly a decade on the Executive Committee. He has also served on the boards of the International Rescue Committee, Graham Windham and the Toigo Foundation. He is a life member of the Council on Foreign Relations.
He earned a bachelor’s degree in engineering from Princeton University and a Master of Business Administration degree in finance and multinational management from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School.
